Airbertach mac Cosse, scholar of Ros Ailithir (Roscarbery, Co. Cork), d. 1016 (AU). The poem is not explicitly ascribed to Airbertach in the manuscript, but it is found between two other poems thought to be the work of Airbertach, Rofessa i curp domuin dúir (f. 45r, ascr. to Mac Cosse) and A Dé dúlig, atat-teoch (f. 46r) respectively.
