  • Cycles of the Kings
Tale about Cormac's journey to the Otherworld. Two Middle Irish recensions and a modern one are distinguished. The second and third recensions are independent texts, whereas the first recension of this tale is found in a composite text known as Scél na Fír Flatha, Echtra Cormaic i Tír Tairngiri, ocus Ceart Claidib Cormaic (sometimes shortened to Scél na Fír Flatha). Here it forms the second tale, standing between Scél na Fír Flatha and Ceart claidib Cormaic, and corresponds to §§ 25-54 of Stokes' edition from this recension.
