[EN] Celtic coins are either ornated with simple patterns which are clear or decorated with hidden pictures which are added to the main theme. These hidden pictures are to be found on the abverse of the coins where they are located in various places. They are made with the lines which constitute the main patterns. These practices are real technical and artistic prowesses. Depicted themes are usually human heads, animùals or monsters. The phenomenon takes place all over the Celtic world. It started some time after the creation of money and lasted until the very end of Celtic coinage. This iconography was probably related to old legends and myths and to religious/ philosophical beliefs.
