Vom keltiberischen Graphem <z> wissen wir seit einiger Zeit, dass es ein Coversymbol für die lenierte Form von gemeinkeltisch /d/ und /s/ ist. Es gibt jedoch eine Anzahl von Wörtern, die in einem großen Teil des Ebrotals belegt ist und die nur erklärt werden kann, wenn dieses Zeichen auch für das Resultat von gemeinkeltisch -ti̯- verwendet wurde. Ein gutes Beispiel dafür ist die Bronzetafel von Torrijo del Campo, wo die Wörter olzui, korzonei, atizai und sazom nun eine passende Etymologie finden. Der entsprechende Satz mit diesen Wörtern bezieht sich auf eine Geldzahlung und fügt sich damit gut in den Text ein.
The Celtiberian grapheme <z> has been known for some time now to be a cover symbol for the lenited results of Common Celtic (CC) /d/ and /s/, but there are a number of words attested in a vast region covering most of the Ebro valley that can only be accounted for if this symbol was also used for the result of CC -ti̯-. A good example of this is the bronze tablet from Torrijo del Campo where the words olzui, korzonei, atizai and sazom now find a suitable etymology that helps make sense of the whole text as a sentence regarding a payment of money.
